Please join the mother and family of Ramarley Graham on Feb. 2 to commemorate Ramarley's life, celebrate the #RiseUp4Ramarley movement victories, and appreciate all those who have supported the struggle for justice for Ramarley Graham. DJ, dancing, food, drinks and community!
This is a FREE event open to everyone that has ever supported the Graham family in the last 6 years.
Feb. 2, 2018 marks six years since Ramarley was killed by NYPD officers in his own home in front of his grandmother and 6-yr-old brother. Thanks to the unfaltering leadership of Ramarley's mother, Constance Malcolm, and the efforts of dozens of supporting organizations, three of the officers who were centrally involved in Ramarley's murder - Richard Haste, Scott Morris and John McLoughlin - were finally disciplined by the NYPD in 2017, with Haste and Morris being forced out of the NYPD and our communities. While this is nowhere near full justice and accountability, this level of NYPD discipline of officers who have unjustly taken lives is rare and a real movement accomplishment that would not have happened without Constance's leadership and the support of groups and individuals across the city and beyond.
